Privacy notice

Ripple (INC) LTD operates as both an Employment Agency and an Employment Business.

What we collect

  • Contact details you give us: name, phone number, email address.
  • Work information: trade, cards and certifications, qualifications, work history, CV, right to work documents or share code, availability and travel distance.
  • References from previous employers and site contacts.
  • For clients: name, company, role and contact details.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To match you with work and put you forward to clients. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, and contract where we have engaged you.
  • To confirm you are entitled to work in the UK. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
  • To verify cards and certifications with the issuing body.
  • To contact you about suitable vacancies.

Who we share it with

Client employers, where we put you forward for a role. Card and certification issuing bodies, for verification only.

TO CONFIRM: any payroll provider, umbrella company, accountant, CRM or email provider that handles candidate data, listed by name.

How long we keep it

We keep candidate details for two years from our last meaningful contact with you, after which they are deleted unless you ask us to keep them longer. Records relating to a placement are kept for at least one year from the date we last provided services, as required by the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003. Payroll and tax records are kept for six years, as required by HMRC.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@rippleinc.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
